REGIS COLLEGE NAMES BREDA O'CONNOR HEAD SWIMMING COACH

WESTON, Mass. –The Regis College Athletic department is pleased to announce the appointment of Breda O'Connor as head coach and Aquatics Director for the men's and women's swimming and diving teams. O'Connor recently served as the assistant coach for the Pride for the past two seasons.

Regis College Athletic Director Marybeth Lamb is excited to have O'Connor take over the program. "Breda O'Connor is an outstanding addition to the team. She has been instrumental in building the current squad and is well-suited to bring the team to the next level of competition. Regis College is extremely fortunate to have Breda O'Connor as part of our athletic family".

O'Connor played an important role in recruiting student athletes to the program for the past two seasons as an assistant coach. Her appointment will start immediately and she will begin advising athletes this week.

Prior to her work at Regis, O'Connor was a standout swimmer at Bentley University. She competed for the Falcons for four seasons and was elected captain her senior campaign. O'Connor remains active in the swimming community, serving as a coach at the Wedgewood swim club, as well as Metro West aquatic club.
