Here is a quick synopsis of the article on Mish's victory:
Brad Mish wasn't always a runner."I wasn't good at any other sports, but I could run well at soccer practice," the Hadley, Mass., native said. He's a runner now by any definition. On Sunday morning, Mish, 24, ran his way through the humid air to victory in the 34th annual Clarence DeMar Marathon in a time of 2 hours, 33 minutes and 35 seconds. In just his second career open marathon, Mish held off David Herr of Canaan, Vt., who finished second at 2:40.42. "I had no idea where the guy behind me was," Mish said as he stood near the massage tent on Keene State's Appian Way after the race. "I was just thinking, 'If he every catches me, it's over.' "
