PRIDE SETS THEIR SIGHT ON SCOTS

Weston, Mass. ---The Regis College women's soccer team plays Gordon College Saturday (Sept. 11) at the Regis College Athletic Fields.  The Pride enters the contest 1-1 after a win over Southern Vermont College early this season.  The Pride's offense is lead by sophomore Bethany Frye (Adams, Mass./Hoosac Valley)  and freshman Tess McLean (West Roxbury, Mass./Mount Alvernia) who each have one goal apiece on the season. On defense the Pride's backfield is anchored by junior Kelly Cadigan (Ware, Mass./Granby) and junior goalkeeper Michaela Yebba (Wakefield, Mass./Lynnfield).  

The Scots enter the contest with a record of 2-0, with their latest win over Southern Maine.  Leading the Scots offense with three goals in the first two games is sophomore midfielder Caitlin Neddie (Colchester, Vt.).  Senior Katie Knaus (Kensington, Conn./The Masters School) and junior Julia Stevenson (Hampton Falls, NH./Berwick Academy)  captain the defense for the Scots in 2010. Rounding out the roster in scoring for the Scots is sophomore Karina Scavo (Mount Sinai, NY.) with two goals and junior Liz Cheeseman (Winslow, Maine.) with one goal.

This contest will be the The first Commonwealth Coast Conference game for both teams.

The Game starts at 12:00 pm and will be played at the Regis College Athletic Fields.
