PRIDE SET TO TAKE ON SEAHAWKS
Weston, Mass.—The Regis College men’s basketball team is set to take on Salve Regina University Tuesday (Jan. 11) at 8:00 p.m. The Pride enters the contest with an overall record of 7-6 and is 0-1 in The Commonwealth Coast Conference. The Seahawks enter the contest with an overall record of 6-6 and are 0-1 in TCCC play.

The Seahawks enter the contest with an overall record of 6-6 and are 0-1 in TCCC play.
The Pride head into the second TCCC game of the season playing on the road. The Pride most recently traveled to play Colby Sawyer College, but lost 53-50 in a close defensive battle. On offense the Pride is lead by senior Derrick Neal (Boston, Mass./Brighton) who has amassed a total of 154 points on the season and is averaging 12.8 a game. Neal is also a strong defender for the Pride, playing lockdown team defense. Neal has forced a team high of 27 steals so far this season and will look to add to this total. The Pride is led on defense by freshman Robert Edwards (Idaho Falls, Idaho /Phillips Exeter) who is third in TCCC play for blocks with 20 on the season.
The Seahawks are led by Windell Hinkson (Groton, Conn./Fitch) who has tallied 188 points on the season. This offensive production ranks him third in TCCC play. Hinksons 17.1 points per game average is a team high. Ryan Birrell (Hope, R.I./Scituate) will look to distribute the ball for the Seahawks as he leads the TCCC in assists per game with an average of 6.3. Defensively the Seahawks are led by Dan Royce (Mahwah, N.J./Mahwah) who is a strong defensive player totaling 19 blocks on the season and tallying 39 offensive rebounds.
The Seahawks will host the Pride for their first home TCCC game. The Game will be played at the Rodgers Recreation Center and is set for an 8:00 p.m. start.
