Weston, Mass.-The second year Regis College Men's Basketball team picked up its second win of the season Tuesday defeating Mitchell College 78-62.
Regis College (2-1) was led by Phil Alibrandi (York, Maine) with a game high 20 points, and shooting better than 84 percent (11-of-13) from the free throw line. Alibrandi also shot 80 percent (4-of-5) from the field.
As a team, Mitchell College (0-1) dominated in second chance points, outscoring the Pride 25 points to 12 points in the game. The Mariners Matt Binder (Milford, CT) led Mitchell with 15 points, 7 boards, and 2 blocks.
Also contributing were teammates Eric Murray (Bridgeport, CT) and Jenel Russel (East Hampton, NY) with 13 and 10 points respectively.
Regis College scored 22 points off of the Mariners 20 turnovers. Derrick Neal (Boston, Mass.) would have three steals, and score 13 points for the Pride. Neal was a recent selection for the Elms College All-Tournament team.
Regis College host Fitchburg State College Saturday, Nov. 22.
