WESTON, Mass.—Additions to the Regis College Women’s Basketball team are underway. Head coach Julie Plant announced that five recruits would be entering their first-year with the program this coming winter. Sarah Pettinelli, Dana Sparks, Emilee Marro, Janaya Bradley, and Kim Daniels have all committed to coming to Regis College for the 2011-12 season.

WESTON, Mass.—Regis College women’s basketball head coach Julie Plant (Gorham, Maine) was named to the Women’s Little East Conference 25th Anniversary Team. The silver anniversary announcement was made as part of the LEC Basketball Championship games. Plant, who played for the University of the Southern Maine from 1996-2000, has been a head coach at Regis College since the 2005-06 season.

NEWPORT, R.I. - Top-seeded Salve Regina University women's basketball (24-3) won its 19th straight game with a 56-42 decision over No. 5 Regis College in a semifinal of The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) Championships at the Rodgers Recreation Center. The Seahawks will host the No. 2 seed, University of New England (21-6), in the TCCC championship game at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
