On Saturday two Regis College players set career records in a 98-61 defeat of John Jay University to move on to the championship game of the Park Lodge Tournament Sunday. Saint Lawrence beat Framingham State College to advance to the championship game.
Stefanie Wozmak (Auburn, NH/Memorial) scored the first basket of the game with a three-pointer for Regis College. St. Lawrence would return two consecutive baskets and convert a free throw to take a two-point lead at 5-3.
Sarah McNult (Hampstead, NH/Pinkerton Academy), who tallied a career high 20 rebounds Saturday, tied the game for Regis College when she converted a score and free throw. McNult had 13 total points, and a rebound shy of a double-double game.
The two teams would hold a 12-9 score for 3:30 of the first half until Erica Spera (Binghamton, NY/Maine Endwell) brought St. Lawrence within one point with 7:30 displayed on the game clock. McNult and Wozmak would open the lead up to 21-15 with McNult scoring two baskets at the low block, and a three-pointer by Wozmak.
Spera would also score, hitting a fade-away jumper with just 5:00 remaining in the first half. The Saints Casey Capello (Hanover, Mass./Archbishop Williams) cut into the Regis lead with a three-pointer
Kelly Legg (Fairport, NY/Aquinas Institute) added her own three-pointer to bring St. Lawrence within one, and force Regis College to call a timeout. In the span of three minutes St. Lawrence would go on an 8-3 run.
St. Lawrence would have the last possession of the half, running out the clock with the teams tied at 29-29.

With less than 4:00 remaining Regis College found a bit of life in its offense. However, Capello would again silence the home crowd and the Regis College rally by hitting a three-pointer to up the Saints lead to nine points.
Her three would not be enough to stop an impending 6-2 run by Regis College. Two free throws by Iris Santoni (Northampton, Mass./Northampton) gave Saint Lawrence its seven-point advantage, and a foul by McNult put the Saints Spera at the line shooting the double bonus.
She would miss both attempts, giving Regis the chance at coming within four on a good three-pointer, but a turnover at the baseline gave Saint Lawrence the ball back with less than 13-seconds in the game.
Saint Lawrence would run out the clock to win the Park Lodge Tournament Championship 67-60.
