Pride Open Weekend at Bridgewater State Invitational
BRIDGEWATER, Mass. — The Regis women's track and field team traveled to Bridgewater, Massachusetts, for the Bridgewater State University Bears Invitational, highlighted by a handful of top finishes by the Pride's first-year class.
Inside the Numbers
- Sophia Anderson led the way in the jumps, placing second in the triple jump with a personal-best mark of 10.08 meters, ranking fifth all-time in program history, and third in the long jump at 4.68 meters. In the triple jump, Zoe Kirk added a fourth-place finish with a distance of 9.86 meters, just ahead of Aleyo Amasa-Titus, who recorded 9.83 meters.
- In her first collegiate javelin appearance, Hannah Griffin posted a throw of 26.23 meters, cracking the top 10 in program history. She also delivered a runner-up finish on the track with a second-place finish in the 800 meters, crossing in 2:38.77.
- Zoe Kirk continued her dominance in the hurdles, taking first in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.96.
- In the 400 meters, Aleyo Amasa-Titus placed fourth with a time of 1:04.72, followed by Olivya Bush in seventh at 1:06.99.
- The Pride also saw a strong showing in the sprints, as Lily Griffin led the way in the 100 meters with a fourth-place finish in 13.55. Olivia Dench followed in sixth at 13.77, with Julia Benvegnu close behind in 13.99. In the 200 meters, Lily Griffin placed fifth in 28.54, while Olivya Bush added a seventh-place finish in 28.80.
