STONE EARNS SECOND CONSECUTIVE ROOKIE HONOR
Regis College freshman forward Brittany Stone (West Bridgewater, Mass.) has been named the New England Collegiate Conference Rookie of the Week in Women’s Basketball it was announced on Monday morning.
WESTON, Mass. – Regis College freshman forward Brittany Stone (West Bridgewater, Mass.) has been named the New England Collegiate Conference Rookie of the Week in Women's Basketball it was announced on Monday morning.
Stone helped lead the Pride to a 2-0 start to the NECC season this week, averaging 10.0 points and 6.0 rebounds per game. Stone scored seven points and added five rebounds and a steal in a 78-36 win over Mitchell. She followed that up with 13 points, seven rebounds, and a block as the Pride defeated Wheelock, 78-55. This is Stone's second consecutive Rookie of the Week Award.
The Pride return to the court on Tuesday, December 30th when Regis travels to Keene, N.H. to take part in the Keene State College Holliday Tournament. The Crimson & Gold draw William Paterson University in the second game with tip off slated for 3:00 p.m.
