For the second straight season, graduating senior Ryan Chambers (Abington, Mass.) has been named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches Honors Court, it was announced on Wednesday. The NABC Honors Court recognizes the talents and gifts that players possess off the court, and the hard work they exhibit in the classroom.

JEAN-GILLES EARNS NECC WEEKLY HONOR

Regis College freshman Sam Jean-Gilles (Melrose, Mass.) has been named the New England Collegiate Conference's Rookie of the Week, it was announced on Monday afternoon. Jean-Gilles helped lead the Pride (11-15) to its third-straight NECC Semifinals appearance last week.

Wheelock College used 11 made three-pointers to defeat host Regis College, 71-65, in a New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) men’s basketball matchup on Wednesday night in Weston, Mass. The loss drops the Pride to 10-13 overall on the year and 9-6 in the NECC, while Wheelock ends its season at 3-22 and 2-14 in league games.

The Southern Vermont College men’s basketball team was able to hold off a late surge by the visiting Regis College Pride Wednesday night for a 62-59 win at the Mountaineer Athletic Center in New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) action.
