Catalanotto Named GNAC Player and Rookie of the Week
WESTON, Mass. — As announced by the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) this afternoon, Eva Catalanotto (Cheshire, Conn.) has been named both Player and Rookie of the Week after continuing her impressive freshman campaign in a 3-0 week for the Pride. The honor marks her fifth GNAC Rookie of the Week recognition this season and her first career Player of the Week award.
Catalanotto delivered a dominant all-around performance to lead Regis to a perfect 3-0 week. The standout tallied 33 kills (2.75 per set) on a .415 hitting percentage, along with 11 total blocks, six aces, and 10 digsacross 12 sets of play. Her week was highlighted by a 13-kill, .500 hitting performance against Colby-Sawyer, where she also added 17 assists and four blocks. Catalanotto averaged 3.9 points per set, powering the Pride on both sides of the net.
Catalanotto and the Pride return to Higgins Court this Wednesday, November 5, when they host New England College at 7 p.m.
