WESTON, Mass. – Regis College freshman Gracie Molinari (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.) has been named the New England Collegiate Conference Rookie of the Week in women's volleyball, it was announced on Monday afternoon.
Molinari help lead the Pride to a 2-2 mark in the opening weekend, earning All-Tournament recognition at the 2014 Pride Invite. In her first career start, Molinari had seven kills in a 3-0 sweep of Becker. She followed that up with a career best 16 kills, three aces and nine digs during a 3-2 setback to WPI. On Saturday, she posted nine kills and eight digs in a 3-0 defeat to MIT, and rounded out the week with nine kills, five aces and five digs in a 3-0 win over Eastern Nazarene.
The Pride return to the court on Wednesday night when Regis travels to Eastern Nazarene College for a 7:00 p.m. contest against the Lions.
