TRIO OF PLAYERS NAMED TO ALL-NECC SQUADS

The Regis College women’s volleyball team had three players named to the New England Collegiate Conference All-Conference teams, it was announced on Monday afternoon. Kristina del Rey (Miami, Fla.) and Vanessa Noesi (Puerta Plata, D.R.) were named All-NECC First Team, while Sara Gold (North Hollywood, Calif.) was named to the All-NECC Second Team.

For the third-straight year, Southern Vermont College is hoisting the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) women’s volleyball trophy as the Mountaineers defeated Regis College 3-0 Saturday afternoon at the Mountaineer Athletic Center in the conference championship.

In a thrilling five-set women’s volleyball match, No. 2 Regis College came back from a 2-0 deficit to defeat No. 3 Newbury College in a New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) semifinal bout at the Mountaineer Athletic Center on the campus of Southern Vermont College Friday night.

The Regis College women’s volleyball team has earned the No. 2 seed in the upcoming New England Collegiate Conference Championships and has earned a first round bye. The Pride (13-17, 6-2 NECC) will play on Friday night at top-seeded Southern Vermont.

Regis College picked up its fourth-straight win with a 3-0 win in New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) action, Friday evening. First year outside hitter Kristina del Ray (Miami, Fla.) led the Pride to victory notching a team-high 10 kills on 25 attempts while recording four block assists.

Regis College picked up a 3-0 victory over Lesley University on Wednesday night in New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) women’s volleyball action. The Pride (12-17, 5-2 NECC) used set scores of 25-18, 25-18, 25-21 in the win over the Lynx (9-15, 5-2 NECC). Regis honored its two seniors in Sara Gold (North Hollywood, Calif.) and Vanessa Noesi (Puerta Plata, D.R.) in a ceremony before the game.

Regis College posted 16 service aces en route to a 3-0 sweep of Becker College on Tuesday night in New England Collegiate Conference women’s volleyball action in Weston, Mass. The Pride (10-17, 3-2 NECC) used set scores of 25-8, 25-19, and 25-13 to defeat the Hawks (3-17, 0-5 NECC).

The Regis College women’s volleyball team picked up a 3-0 victory over visiting Bay Path College in New England Collegiate Conference action on Tuesday night in Weston, Mass. The Pride used set scores of 25-22, 25-11, 25-11 in the victory and improve to 7-13 overall and 1-1 in the NECC. Bay Path falls to 1-14 and 0-2 in league games.

KRISTINA DEL REY NAMED NECC ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Regis College freshman Kristina del Rey (Miami, Fla.) has been named the New England Collegiate Conference’s Rookie of the Week, it was announced on Monday morning. This marks the second time this year that del Rey has earned this award.
