Kirk Earns Back-to-Back GNAC Rookie of the Week Honors
WESTON, Mass. — As announced by the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC), first-year Zoe Kirk earned Rookie of the Week honors for the second consecutive week following her performance at the Jim Sheehan Invitational, hosted by Fitchburg State this past Saturday, continuing to solidify herself as one of the top first-years and all-around performers in the conference.
Kirk recorded a pair of top-ten finishes, placing sixth in the 100m hurdles with a time of 16.56 and fifth in the high jump with a clearance of 1.47 meters. Her 100m hurdles time ranks second all-time in program history and is the fastest by a first-year, while her high jump mark set a new program record.
Within the conference, Kirk currently holds the third-fastest time in the 100m hurdles - fastest among first-years - and owns the top high jump mark.
This honor marks her second outdoor weekly award and fourth collegiate honor overall.
Kirk will return to action alongside her teammates this Friday, April 10, at the annual Regis Spring Classic, the team's annual home meet.
