Regis Women Make Strides at MIT Gordon Kelly Invitational
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — The Regis women's indoor track and field team continued to improve their marks this weekend at Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Gordon Kelly Invitational.
Inside the Numbers
- Rookie Zoe Kirk opened the meet by taking second in her heat and 15th overall in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.93 seconds.
- In the 60-meter dash, Lily Griffin set a personal best of 8.43 seconds, placing her 10th all-time in program history. Julia Benvegnu (8.54) and Olivia Dench (8.56) also posted strong finishes in the event.
- Olivya Bush turned in personal bests in both the 200-meter (28.50) and 400-meter (1:07.07) races. Julia Benvegnu led the Pride in the 200 with a 28.13 finish, closely followed by Aleyo-Amasa Titus (28.31).
- In the 800 meters, Hannah Griffin delivered a personal best of 2:39.09, cracking the program's all-time top ten as her time put her at eighth overall.
- Sophia Anderson set a personal record in the triple jump with a leap of 9.67 meters, placing ninth overall and tying teammate Zoe Kirk for fifth in the program's history.
- The 4x400-meter relay team, comprised of Julia Benvegnu, Hannah Griffin, Janet Amasa-Titus, and Sophia Anderson, closed out the day with a third-best program time of 4:24.27.
