Regis Women’s Swim & Dive Picked Third in GNAC Championship Poll
WESTON, Mass. — Voted on by the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) coaches, the Regis College women's swimming and diving team has been picked to finish third, alongside the University of Saint Joseph (Conn.), heading into the 2026 GNAC Championship weekend. The Pride totaled 33 points in the preseason poll, finishing just behind Simmons (45 points, five first-place votes) and Norwich (43 points, two first-place votes).
Regis enters the championship meet led by five-time GNAC Rookie of the Week Sophia Caruso, who has delivered a standout debut campaign. Caruso currently ranks among the top five performers in program history in the 50, 100, and 200 freestyle events, highlighted by a Regis Pool-record time of 24.91 in the 50 free.
Ava Hubster and Emma Tirri have also put together strong seasons for the Pride. Hubster holds the team's top times across multiple butterfly events and individual medleys, while Tirri has emerged as a key contributor in the breaststroke events.
Veteran leadership will be crucial for Regis, with Vera Rivard anchoring the distance squad and Jenna Silva providing consistent performances in both the butterfly and freestyle throughout the season.
On the diving boards, Christina Dupre-Honda will headline the Pride's efforts. The first-year diver ranks among the program's top four in the one-meter five-dive, six-dive, and 11-dive events and has already earned four GNAC Diver of the Week honors this season.
With a young core supported by experienced leadership, the Pride will look to make a strong push at the GNAC Championships, set for February 6 at Worcester Polytechnic Institute's pool.
