WESTON, Mass. -- Sophia Caruso made an immediate impact in her collegiate debut, earning Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Swimmer of the Week honors after an impressive opening meet performance.
The first-year made an immediate impact for the crimson and gold, sweeping her individual events with wins in the 200-yard freestyle (2:03.58), 50-yard freestyle (25.81), and 100-yard freestyle (57.53). She also opened the meet with a first-place finish as part of the 200-yard medley relay team that clocked in at 2:05.50. All three of her individual victories ranked among the top 20 times in Regis program history, highlighted by her 200-yard freestyle performance, which placed her sixth all-time.
