2024 REGIS COLLEGE WOMEN'S SOCCER SCHEDULE
WESTON, Mass. – Coming off the program's fifth straight appearance in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Tournament, the Regis women's soccer team has finalized its 20-match competition schedule for the 2024 regular season, including nine home contests.
After opening the season on the road at UMass Dartmouth Friday, Aug. 30, the Pride will start the home slate by welcoming Wheaton College Sunday, Sept. 1, for Military Appreciation Night, which will include a canned food drive to benefit military veterans in the area. Regis then plays three straight road contests, beginning at Gordon Sept. 4 before beginning conference play at Mitchell Sept. 7 and at Emmanuel Sept. 11.
The Sept. 14 home match against Lasell will be the Play with PRIDE match as the women's soccer team partners with the Regis College Center for Inclusive Excellence. After a trip to Norwich Sept. 17, the 40-year anniversary of women's soccer varsity status at Regis will be celebrated during the Colby-Sawyer match Saturday, Sept. 21 as all alumni of the program will be recognized at halftime.
Regis heads to Saint Joseph's College Sept. 25 for a midweek match before hosting Dean during Regis Fest Saturday, Sept. 28. Another three-match road swing awaits the Pride as they travel to face University of Saint Joseph Oct. 1, Albertus Magnus Oct. 5, and 2023 national semifinalist Tufts Oct. 7.
The Pride host four straight contests starting Oct. 9 against Wentworth on a night recognizing the team's favorite professors. Senior Day will be held Saturday, Oct. 12, before the GNAC match against Anna Maria, followed by home matches against Rivier Oct. 16 and defending conference champion Johnson and Wales Oct. 19.
Regis will wrap up the regular season with matches at Simmons Oct. 22 and at New England College Oct. 26 before hosting Elms Tuesday, Oct. 29. The 2024 GNAC Tournament will involve the top 10 teams in the final standings, with first round matches on Halloween, quarterfinals on Saturday, Nov. 2, semifinals on Tuesday, Nov. 5, and the championship match scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 9.
Assuming all matches are played, Regis will reach the 20-match mark in a single season for the first time since 2008 and for the third time in 40 seasons, with the 2004 squad also competing in 20 contests. Last season, the Pride posted a 9-5-4 (.611) overall record, including an 8-3-4 (.667) mark within the GNAC to finish in fifth place.
Regis College sponsors 19 intercollegiate sports, including women's soccer, within NCAA Division III as a member of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference.
