Regis Women’s Lacrosse Selected Eighth in GNAC Preseason Poll
WESTON, Mass. — As voted on by the coaches of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC), the Regis College women's lacrosse team has been selected eighth in the conference preseason poll with 105 total points and one first-place vote. Emmanuel claimed the top spot with 10 first-place votes and 190 points, followed by Norwich with 179 points and two first-place votes. Simmons rounded out the top six, earning one first-place nod as well.
Offensively, the Pride return significant production led by Audrey Mason, who paced the team in points (62), goals (45), and assists (17) last season. She is joined by senior Serenity Ayala, who recorded 32 goals and six assists, while Molly Higgins rounds out the attack after tallying 32 goals and one assist. Higgins also made her mark on both sides of the ball, leading the team in draw controls and caused turnovers.
Defensively, senior Daniela Mazo will anchor the unit after posting a 112-save season that included seven games with 10 or more saves, bringing her career total to 347 - second-most in program history.
Krystal DePaolo begins her inaugural season at the helm of the Pride, bringing in four new faces to complement the team's veteran leadership as Regis looks to make a push in the GNAC this spring.
