2019 Regis Women's Lacrosse Schedule
WESTON, Mass. – The Regis College women's lacrosse team has finalized its schedule for the 2019 season, featuring eight home matches as the Pride enter their second year as a member of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference.
Regis opens the season with three road contests, starting Tuesday, Feb. 26, at UMass Dartmouth. During Spring Break, the Pride will play two road matches, first heading to Mahwah, N.J., to face Ramapo College Saturday afternoon, March 2. Regis will then head north to take on Thomas College in Waterville, Maine, Thursday, March 7.
The home opener for the Pride is scheduled for Tuesday, March 12, against Utica beginning at 4 p.m. Regis begins its conference slate by hosting Norwich Saturday, March 16, at 3:30 p.m., followed by a non-league contest against Fitchburg State Tuesday, March 19, at 7 p.m. at Regis Stadium.
Regis will face the University of St. Joseph Wednesday, March 20, at Central Connecticut State in New Britain, Conn. The Pride returns to Regis Stadium for home contests against Simmons Saturday, March 23, and Lasell Wednesday, March 27.
The Pride open April with three road games, starting on April Fools' Day at Emmanuel, followed by trips to Anna Maria April 3 and Saint Joseph's College April 6. Regis is scheduled to play three of its final four regular season matches at home, beginning with Albertus Magnus April 10 and Colby-Sawyer April 13.
The final regular season road contest for the Pride takes place Wednesday, April 17, at Rivier. The following week, Regis hosts defending GNAC champion Johnson & Wales in the final regular season match, a rematch of the 2018 GNAC Tournament semifinal won by the Wildcats.
The top eight teams in the final regular season standings will move on to the GNAC Tournament, with the quarterfinals scheduled for Saturday, April 27. The two highest remaining seeds will host the semifinals Wednesday, May 1, followed by the championship match Saturday, May 4.
Regis posted a 13-5 overall record in 2018, including a 7-3 mark within the GNAC to finish in a tie for third place in the final standings. Courtney Duggan enters her sixth season as head coach of the Pride.
