Stone Wins Second Consecutive GNAC Player of the Week Award
For the second week in a row, Regis (Mass.) women's basketball senior Brittany Stone (West Bridgewater, Mass.) has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Player of the Week.
WINTHROP, Mass. - For the second week in a row, Regis (Mass.) women's basketball senior Brittany Stone (West Bridgewater, Mass.) has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Player of the Week. The announcement came from the conference office on Monday afternoon.
Stone posted her third and fourth straight double-doubles to help the Pride to a 2-0 week, averaging 19.0 points on 60% (15-25 FG) shooting and 11.5 rebounds. She had 16 points and 12 boards in a win over Keene State on Wednesday before registering 22 points and 11 rebounds in just 24 minutes in a GNAC opening win at Albertus Magnus on Saturday.
Stone and the rest of the Pride will be off this week for finals, but will return to action a week from tonight by hosting Anna Maria in GNAC action at Higgins Court. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
