HISTORIC PRIDE SEASON COMES TO AN END AGAINST TUFTS

The Regis College women’s basketball team’s historic season came to an end in the NCAA First Round as the #7 nationally-ranked Tufts University Jumbos defeated the Crimson and Gold 61-49 Friday evening. The victory moved Tufts to 24-3 and the setback ends the Pride’s season at 24-4.

Regis College junior forward Amanda Hawkesworth (Abington, Mass.) has been named the New England Collegiate Conference's Player of the Year, it was announced on Monday morning by the league offices. Head Coach Angela Santa Fe was named the NECC Coach of the Year for the third-straight season after leading the Pride to another 18-0 NECC regular season and the program's fourth-straight NECC Championship.

REGIS BEATS BLAZERS 60-40, HEADED TO FOURTH STRAIGHT TITLE GAME

Brittany Stone (West Bridgewater, Mass.) tallied a double-double, 17 points and 11 rebounds as the #10 regionally-ranked Regis College women’s basketball team defeated Elms College 60-40 in the New England Collegiate Conference Semifinals Friday night on Higgins Court in front of a sold out crowd. The victory propelled the #1 ranked Pride to their fourth straight NECC title game and a 23-3 record; the loss ended the #4 Blazers campaign at 15-12.

The Regis College women’s basketball team defeated New England Collegiate Conference opponent Lesley University 122-52 Tuesday evening on Higgins Court. With the victory, the Pride improve to 21-3, 17-0 NECC on the year.
