TCCC HONORS PAGE WITH PLAYER OF WEEK ANNOUNCEMENT

Weston, Mass.—The Commonwealth Coast Conference honored senior Jessica Page (Quincy, Mass.) with its TCCC Player of the Week announcement Monday. She was also named to the Park Lodge All-Tournament team over the weekend.

The athletics department nominated Page, the only senior on the basketball team, for her performance in the Pride’s 2-1 weekly record. Page recorded back-to-back double-doubles in two of its wins last week, as stated by the TCCC communications office.

In Regis’ three games, Page averaged 16.3 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 2.0 steals. Page etched her first double-double of the week in a 75-53 win over Suffolk, where she posted 14 points and 10 rebounds.

Entering the Park Lodge Tournament Saturday, Page led Regis to a 78-40 victory against Framingham State College. Page finished the game with 20 points and 13 rebounds. She notched her double figures in both points and rebounds before intermission.

The win advanced the Pride into the championship game versus Tufts University. Although Regis lost 78-56 to the Jumbos, Page scored 15 points.

In the three games, Page shot 45 percent from the field, 53 percent from behind the arc, and an impressive 83 percent from the free-throw line.

Page and the Pride will host No. 14 Brandeis University Dec. 31 at 1:00 p.m.
