PAGE TALLIES DOUBLE-DOUBLE, REGIS TO PLAY IN CHAMPIONSHIP GAME
WESTON, MASS.- Regis senior guard Jessica Page (Quincy, Mass.) registered a first-half double-double and led the Pride (6-2 overall) to a 78-40 victory over the Rams of Framingham State College (3-3 overall) in the opening game of the Park Lodge Invitational Womens Tournament hosted by Regis.

Jessica Page (Quincy, Mass.) registered a
first-half double-double and led the Pride (6-2 overall) to a 78-40
victory over the Rams of Framingham State College (3-3 overall) in
the opening game of the Park Lodge Invitational Women’s
Tournament hosted by Regis.
In the first half, Page went 6-for-12 from the field (2-for-5 from
three-point range), scored 15 points and 10 rebounds. As a
team, the Pride held the visiting Rams to a futile 5-for-21 (23.8
percent) from the field and busted open a 37-14 lead at the break.
Its defense forced Framingham into 16 first-half
turnovers.
The Rams improved to just-under 38 percent shooting in the
second-half, but Regis shot the lights out from long range, going
7-for-14 from behind the arc. Sophomore guard Meghan
Tobin (Quincy, Mass.) made all three attempted
three-pointers and finished perfect shooting, adding a couple of
free-throws.
Page finished with a tremendous score line; 20 points, 13
rebounds, five assists, and four steals. Tobin, junior
forward Brittany White (Dorchester, Mass.), and
sophomore point guard Stephanie Crawford (Rockland,
Mass.) contributed 11 points each for Regis.
Despite the loss, Framingham got eight points from both senior
forward Toya Chester (Leominster, Mass.) and
sophomore forward Emily Clark (Melrose,
Mass.).
Framingham is now scheduled to play the 1pm consolation game on
Sunday against Maine Maritime, while Regis tips off the
Championship game at 3pm on Sunday versus Tufts.
