NO RAID ON THE PRIDE, REGIS TOPS RIVIER

Jessica Page (Quincy, Mass.) was credited with the assist to Luquet, who rolled to the top of the arc off of a screen and sank the shot with 10:20 remaining in the second period.
The second game changing play came when Page, who finished with a game-high 23 points, made the Pride’s second three pointer of the night with 8:48 remaining giving Regis a three point lead.
The two plays played instrumental roles in the Pride’s second half run.
Rivier, led by Jess Mellen (Rockland, Mass.) with 15 points, was aggressive in the paint. Mellen fouled out of the contest, along with Ashley Metivier (Hudson, N.H.), Amandra Purcell (Hudson, N.H.), and Mackenzie Brooks (Colebrook, N.H.).
The four Raiders were a part of a Rivier defense that held Regis to under 30 points in the first period, and caused 18 total Regis turnovers. Purcell and Metivier scored double-digits on the night with 13 and 10 points respectively.
Brooks had a game-high 16 rebounds. Mellen shot better than 80 percent from the floor (5-of-6), and 45 percent from the line (5-of-11).
The two Regis plays were instrumental in that the first tied Regis with Rivier for the first time of the night. The shot by Page began Regis on a 9-0 run.
Page was 54 percent from the field and 57 percent from the free throw line, and finished with 12 rebound. Regis amassed its scoring from late game fouls by Rivier. As a team, Regis shot 49 percent on 18-of-37 shooting from the free throw line.
Rivier made the Regis offense work for every shot. Rivier held the Pride to just 40 percent shooting in the first half, and 34 percent in the second.
The Raiders offensively had the largest point margin when it was ahead of Regis by 12 points as the first period ended.
Regis College will return to the floor Dec. 3 when it hosts Daniel Webster at 7 PM. Rivier also returns to the court on the same day when it takes on Lesley University at 7 PM.
