Regis College Softball Finalizes 2023 Schedule

2023 REGIS COLLEGE SOFTBALL SCHEDULE

WESTON, Mass. - The Regis College softball team has finalized its competition schedule for the 2023 season, starting with a trip to South Carolina during Spring Break.

For the first time since the 2018 season, the Pride will play its games during Spring Break in South Carolina as part of the Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic. Regis is scheduled to play eight games March 5-10 against strong competition, as seven of the eight opponents finished the 2022 season with winning records, including a meeting Monday, March 6, against Kean University, a 2022 NCAA Tournament regional finalist.

Two weeks after the trip, Regis opens the rest of the season with three road doubleheaders in five days against Clark University March 25, Massachusetts Maritime Academy March 27, and Lasell University March 29 in the GNAC opener for both teams. The Pride open their home schedule with a doubleheader against Fisher College Friday, March 31.

Regis starts the month of April with home doubleheaders against Saint Joseph's College April 2 and Eastern Nazarene College April 4. The Pride will then travel for twinbills at Anna Maria College April 6, Emerson College April 11, and Dean College April 15.

The Pride are scheduled to play 10 of their final 12 regular season games at home, beginning with a doubleheader against defending GNAC Tournament champion Johnson and Wales April 16. Regis will then welcome Wentworth April 19 and Emmanuel College April 20 for non-conference doubleheaders before heading west for a GNAC doubleheader at Elms College April 22.

Regis finishes the regular season with home league doubleheaders against Albertus Magnus College April 23 and University of Saint Joseph April 29. Once again, the GNAC is split into North and South Divisions for softball, with the top four teams in each division qualifying for the 2023 GNAC Softball Tournament taking place May 2-7.

Ellie Adams is in her first season as head coach of the Regis College softball team, with Shannon Colson in her second year as assistant coach. The 2023 roster includes 16 players returning from last year's squad that qualified for the GNAC Tournament for the first time since joining the conference.
