PRIDE ANNOUNCE 2014 MATCH SCHEDULE
Regis College men's volleyball head coach Scott Wright is excited to announce the Pride's 2014 game schedule, which will feature twelve non-conference opponents and nine home matches.
WESTON, Mass. – Regis College men's volleyball head coach Scott Wright is excited to announce the Pride's 2014 schedule, which will feature twelve non-conference opponents and nine home matches.
Regis starts off the season with four matches over the course of Jan. 24 and Jan. 25 at the Johnson & Wales Tip-Off Tournament. The Pride will open up with New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) foe Southern Vermont at 6 p.m. before taking on Lasell at 8 p.m. on the 24th. The next day, Regis will face Community College of Rhode Island (CCRI) and Johnson & Wales at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m., respectively.
The following Friday, Regis stays on the road when they travel to Mount Ida for a 6 p.m. non-conference match.
On Feb. 5, the Pride will welcome Elms for their first home match of the season at 7 p.m. Just three days later, Regis will host a pair of non-confernence teams in St. Joseph's (Brooklyn) and Sarah Lawrence for a tri-match. Those games will be played at 10 a.m. and 12 p.m.
On Feb. 11, Regis will travel to take on defending NECC Champion Endicott at 7 p.m. before hosting back-to-back non-conference matches. Anna Maria and Wentworth will make the trip to Weston on Feb. 14 and Feb. 20.
The Crimson & Gold wrap up the month of February with three consecutive away matches. On Feb. 22, Regis will play both Anna Maria and Sarah Lawrence for the second times in the season, with the Amcats hosting the tri-match. Daniel Webster will welcome Regis on the 26th at 7 p.m.
March 1 marks Regis' final non-league games of the season; they will take on Anna Maria at 1 p.m. before facing off with host Lasell at 3 p.m.
Regis will travel to Southern Vermont on March 12 for a 7 p.m. match before hosting Lesley and Endicott on the 18th and 20th, respectively. The Pride handed Lesley a pair of losses last season for their lone victories of the year.
On the 22nd, Regis will be at Newbury for the first of two NECC matches with the Nighthawks. Two days later the squad will travel to Lesley for their second match with the Lynx, in a game that will be played at 8 p.m.
The regular season will wrap up with home games against Daniel Webster and Newbury on March 26 and April 2, with an away match at Elms scheduled in between on the 29th.
The NECC Tournament begins on April 11th at the top-seed in the tournament, with the Championship match to be held on April 12th.
