Thuotte Named GNAC Field Athlete of the Week for Second Straight Week
WESTON, Mass. — Regis College men's track and field senior Justin Thuotte earned his second consecutive Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Field Athlete of the Week honor.
Competing at the Suffolk Ice Breaker, Thuotte reset his own indoor long jump program record for the second straight weekend, posting a mark of 6.84 meters to claim first place overall. The leap also qualified the senior for the New England Regional Championships. In addition to his long jump performance, Thuotte placed 14th in the weight throw with a mark of 13.56 meters and finished seventh in the triple jump at 12.90 meters.
Thuotte currently holds three indoor program records at Regis, owning the top marks in the long jump, triple jump, and heptathlon.
Thuotte and the Pride return to action this Saturday, traveling to Boston to compete at MIT's Gordon Kelly Invitational.
