ISRAEL'S STRONG PERFORMANCE QUALIFIES FOR ECAC CHAMPIONSHIPS
At the Division III Indoor New England Track and Field Championships, held at Springfield College, freshman Jeremy Israel (Medfield, Mass.) represented the men's track & field team. Qualified in the open 400-meters, Israel's seed time of 50.61s ranked him 20th on the New England performance list. Within the meet, Israel finished 11th, becoming the highest male finisher for the Pride in a New England Championship to date, surpassing many athletes ranked higher than himself.

Qualified in the open 400-meters, Israel's seed time of 50.61s ranked him 20th on the New England performance list. Within the meet, Israel finished 11th, becoming the highest male finisher for the Pride in a New England Championship to date, surpassing many athletes ranked higher than himself.
The race marked another success from a stellar season the rookie sprinter has produced. He currently holds the school record in the 400 and 500-meter dashes (both of which have qualified him for the Division III ECAC Indoor Track & Field Championships); was a member of the record setting 4 x 200 and 4 x 400 meter relays; and currently is tied with fellow freshman Chandler Davies (Hartford, Conn.) as the 2nd fastest performances in the 200 meter dash.
