BELUCH EARNS CONFERENCE HONOR
Freshman Michael Beluch (Lynn, Mass.) has been named this week’s New England Collegiate Conference Rookie of the Week in men’s tennis, it was announced by the conference offices on Monday. Beluch helped lead the Pride (8-6, 5-1 NECC) to a pair of league wins last week.
WESTON, Mass. – Freshman Michael Beluch (Lynn, Mass.) has been named this week's New England Collegiate Conference Rookie of the Week in men's tennis, it was announced by the conference offices on Monday. Beluch helped lead the Pride (8-6, 5-1 NECC) to a pair of league wins last week.
Beluch teamed with Andy White (Bozeman, Mont.) to post an 8-0 win at No.1 doubles, and followed that up with a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles in the Pride's 8-1 win over Newbury. Beluch then helped the Pride by earning an 8-5 win in No. 1 doubles and a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles en route to the Pride's 5-4 win over Becker.
Michael Beluch is currently 8-6 overall at the No. 1 singles position and has gone 5-1 in league matchups. In doubles play, Beluch stands at 8-6 at the top spot and has won two straight matchups with his partner Andy White.
Regis College returns to action on Tuesday night as the Pride hosts Newbury College in a NECC matchup scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
