WESTON, Mass. - On Saturday, October 19 following the Pride's intra-squad scrimmage, the Regis College men's lacrosse team welcomed a new teammate to the Pride squad in Dennis Lambert. He is the younger brother of current teammate Sean Lambert who was previously drafted by the squad in 2011.
Sean (#5) and Dennis (#27) were matched up through the help, guidance and support of the Team IMPACT organization, a nonprofit organization based in Quincy, Mass., that matches kids with life-threatening diseases with college sports teams.
While both boys have been joining the team at practices and games for two seasons already, the drafting of the younger Lambert now completes the family connection. Several players have also shown their support with various group outings and trips to Special Olympics to reciprocate the support and cheer on both boys.
Leading the way as on-campus ambassadors were sophomores Michael Emanuelson and Andrew O'Reilly along with student assistant coach and former captain Stephan Bottex.
