How it Happened
The Pride opened tonight's game going back and forth with the Mariners, with neither team being able to mount a lead. With 8:12 left, Gehrig Brynda () hit a decisive three pointer to put Regis up 2. Regis would go on to finish the half strong, capped by a Jamir Harvey layup in the final seconds to take a 37–32 lead into the break.
Regis carried its momentum into the second half, quickly stretching the lead behind a dominant opening stretch from Aamyr Sullivan, who scored seven straight points with a layup, a three, and another layup to push the margin to double digits. Mitchell tried to respond with perimeter shooting, but the Pride continued to control the pace, getting timely contributions from Chinn in the paint and buckets from Ned Fitzpatrick to keep the lead intact. The game grew physical midway through the half, with technical fouls and turnovers on both sides, yet Regis stayed composed and capitalized at the free-throw line. Down the stretch the Pride would pull away and close out a 75–67 victory.
