HECK NAMED NECC PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Regis College sophomore goalkeeper Raegan Heck (Phillipston, Mass.) has been named the New England Collegiate Conference Player of the Week this week in field hockey, it was announced this morning by the league office.
WESTON, Mass. – Regis College sophomore goalkeeper Raegan Heck (Phillipston, Mass.) has been named the New England Collegiate Conference Player of the Week this week in field hockey, it was announced this morning by the league office.
Heck had a strong week in net for the Pride as she recorded 29 saves in two games, posting a 3.00 GAA and a .829 save percentage. Last Wednesday, Heck made 15 saves in a 5-3 setback to Gordon College and then followed that up with 14 saves and only one goal allowed in a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Clark University.
In 10 games played this season, Heck has made 114 saves and posted a .786 save percentage. In just over 717 minutes, the sophomore also has a 3.03 goals against average. She ranks second in the NECC in GAA and is third in saves while her save percentage has her fourth in the league.
Raegan Heck and the Regis College field hockey team return to action on Thursday night when the Pride travel to Rivier University for a non-league game at 7:00 p.m.
