FAQs
What is the Community Membership program?
Regis College offers memberships to their athletic facility to members of the surrounding communities. The membership includes access to the NCAA regulation gymnasium, the competitive length pool with easy access stairs, the Mary Carr-Simeone Fitness Center, and the outdoor 8-lane track.
Do I need to be a resident of Weston to purchase a membership?
Nope! Residents of surrounding towns are welcome to join.
Can family members of current students/faculty/staff use the facilities?
Family members of current students, faculty, and staff members must purchase a membership to access the facilities. Anyone directly affiliated with Regis must have a valid Regis ID on hand when they come in.
What is the full-year schedule?
Fall Semester: Early September (after Labor Day) until mid-December
Spring Semester: Mid-January until late April
Summer: Late May/early June until mid-August
Memberships run with the academic calendar - when the campus closes, so does the athletic facility. The academic calendar can be found on Regis's
main site, and the
facility hours page lists all anticipated closures. As a member, you are paying for the 15 weeks that classes are in session, with the understanding that there are occasional planned closures, and that unexpected closures can happen (e.g., inclement weather).
Because memberships coincide with the academic schedule, they typically start in the fall. At that time, you can either purchase a single semester membership that runs through the end of the fall semester (roughly mid-December), or you can purchase a full-year membership that runs through the end of April. We close for about a month for winter break, from mid-December until the week of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
Do memberships carry over to the next academic year?
No, memberships are only valid for the current academic year. When the new year starts in September, you must renew your membership.
If I want to join mid-semester, can I pay monthly?
We do not pro-rate membership fees. To get the most value out of your Regis membership, we recommend that you sign up at the beginning of the semester. For full-year options, you may sign up in September, and for single-semester options, you may sign up in September or January.
Can I combine discounts if I qualify for multiple? (E.g., senior alumni)
No. The senior rate applies to both alumnae and members of the community (standard category). We do not combine discounts.
Where can I park?
Lot A is the best option for parking. We kindly ask that you do not park in the two spots reserved for prospective student-athletes.
Do you have a wheelchair-accessible entrance?
Our accessible entrance is on the gym floor level, on the northwest-facing side of the building. If you need to use this entrance, we ask that you call the front desk ahead of your arrival so they can let you in. The front desk can be reached at (781)768-7143.
How can I sign up?
You can sign up in-person at the facility anytime during open hours. Just let the front desk supervisor know that you would like to sign up, and they will provide you with a membership application. You may also download the membership application
here, fill it out, and email it to Kyra Belden at kyra.belden@regiscollege.edu.
Please note that we only accept cash and checks for payment at this time.
