Golfers, Sponsors, and Supporters Enjoy Perfect Day on the Links at 25th Annual Regis Athletics Golf Tournament

WESTON, Mass. – Regis College Athletics celebrated a milestone on Tuesday, hosting its 25th Annual Golf Tournament at Marlborough Country Club. Alumni, sponsors, donors, staff, faculty, and supporters of Regis Athletics came together for a memorable day on the course in support of Pride student-athletes and the continued growth of the department.

With sunny skies and temperatures in the upper 70s, participants enjoyed ideal golfing conditions throughout the day. The tournament featured 132 golfers, on-course contests, raffle prizes, a silent auction, and numerous opportunities to connect with fellow members of the Regis community.

Golfers competed for a variety of prizes throughout the day, including Longest Drive, Closest to the Pin, and Putting Contest honors. Team awards were also presented to the top-performing Men's, Women's, and Mixed teams, adding a competitive element to an already exciting day.

The 25th edition of the tournament carried additional significance as it marked the final golf tournament for retiring President Toni Hays, whose tenure has helped shape the continued success of Regis College. It also represented the first tournament for newly appointed Director of Athletics Mark Clemente. While it was his first event leading the department, Clemente is no stranger to the tournament, having played a key role in organizing and overseeing the event throughout its entire 25-year history.

The impact of the annual golf tournament extends far beyond a single day on the course. Funds raised through the event have helped support a variety of initiatives that directly benefit Regis student-athletes and coaches. Contributions from last year's tournament helped begin the enhancement of the department's broadcast capabilities through the purchase of new camera and production equipment while also providing coaches with additional scouting, recruiting, and film analysis resources through Hudl technology.

Events such as the Regis Athletics Golf Tournament continue to play a vital role in advancing the department's mission of providing an exceptional student-athlete experience while supporting the growth and development of its programs.
