WESTON, Mass. – Regis College Director of Athletics Mark Clemente has announced the promotion of Ron LeClair to Associate Director Of Athletics for Game Operations, which became effective, Monday June 8th, 2026.
LeClair enters his 10th year at Regis during the 2026-27 academic year after spending the previous nine years as Assistant Athletic Director and Head Athletic Trainer. In his expanded role, he will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of home athletic events while helping manage the day-to-day operations of the department's 18 varsity sports. He will work closely with coaches, staff, student-athletes, officials, and campus partners to enhance the overall student-athlete experience and support the continued growth of Regis Athletics.
"Looking ahead towards the evolution and reorganization of our athletics department, Ron LeClair's promotion to Associate Director of Athletics for Operations comes at exactly the right time," said Clemente. "This move from the Sports Medicine Office and into a full administrative role reflects the strength and judgment needed to better promote the student-athlete experience. As we continue to strengthen and support a growing department that currently sponsors 18 varsity sports, Ron's institutional knowledge, operational expertise, and commitment to student-athlete success make him uniquely qualified to lead these efforts. His ability to manage complex operations while fostering collaboration across coaches, staff, and campus partners will position our department for continued growth and excellence. We are confident that Regis Athletics is in a stronger position with Ron overseeing operations and helping guide the future of our program."
"I'm extremely grateful to Regis College and Mark Clemente for allowing me to continue to grow as a professional and I am excited for this next step in my career as the Associate Director of Athletics for Game Operations," said LeClair. "Working with our game operations staff over the past nine years has prepared me to hit the ground running and I am excited to be a part of that team in a more full-time role. I am truly lucky to have Mark's leadership and the support of our department during this transition and appreciate all of the work that has been done to get us here. I look forward to continuing to work with our administration, coaches, student-athletes, and partners across campus, although in a different role, to continue to provide a transformational experience for our student-athletes and the Regis Community that is both fun to participate in and to watch!"
Since arriving at Regis in 2017, LeClair has played an integral role in the success of the department through his oversight of the sports medicine office and his commitment to the health, safety, and well-being of Regis student-athletes. He also serves as a liaison with the Regis College Office of Health Services, helping coordinate care and resources for the campus community.
LeClair's impact on Regis Athletics has been recognized on multiple occasions. Two years earlier, he was presented with the Life Saver Award by the Regis College Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment for his dedication and service to the campus community.
Prior to joining Regis, LeClair served as Assistant Athletic Trainer and Strength & Conditioning Coach at Brandeis University. In that role, he assisted in the development and coordination of strength and conditioning programs for the department's 17 varsity sports. He also played a key role in updating concussion protocols, reviewing emergency action plans, and developing departmental policies and procedures.
LeClair also brings extensive Division I experience to his position. He spent seven years at the University of Miami, working with several of the Hurricanes' athletic programs. After beginning as a graduate assistant athletic trainer with rowing, football, and baseball, he became the primary athletic trainer for women's soccer from 2006-07, baseball from 2006-11, and the cheer and dance squads from 2007-11. He also worked briefly with the women's volleyball program in 2011. During his time at Miami, LeClair earned a master's degree in sport administration.
A native of Rochester, New Hampshire, LeClair graduated cum laude from Northeastern University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training. Before relocating to Miami, he spent two stints with the Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots (2001-02 and 2003-04) and served as Assistant Athletic Trainer at St. Sebastian's School in Needham, Massachusetts, from 2002-04.
LeClair is a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC), having passed the NATABOC examination in 2002.
