Regis Cross Country Finalizes 2024 Meet Schedule
2024 REGIS COLLEGE CROSS COUNTRY SCHEDULES: MEN | WOMEN
WESTON, Mass. – The Regis College cross country program has finalized its meet schedule for the 2024 season, featuring a new site for the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Cross Country Championships.
The Pride open their season at the Colby-Sawyer Charger Invitational for the second straight season, traveling to New London, N.H., Saturday, Aug. 31, with the first race scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. After a week off from competition, Regis heads to Gordon College for the Pop Crowell Invitational Saturday morning, Sept. 14.
The team is not scheduled to compete again until Friday, Oct. 4, when it makes the first of two trips this season to Northfield, Vt., as Norwich hosts the Cadet Classic beginning at 3 p.m. The following Friday, Regis heads to Hopkinton, N.H., for the Bruce Kirsh Cup hosted by Franklin Pierce University Friday, Oct. 11, starting at 1 p.m. The regular season concludes for the Pride Saturday, Oct. 19, with a trip to Waterford, Conn., for the Connecticut College Invitational.
For the first time, Norwich University will serve as host of the GNAC Cross Country Championships, taking place in Northfield, Vt., Saturday, Nov. 2, starting at 11 a.m. The Regis cross country season concludes two weeks later at the NCAA East Regional, with the Pride returning to the Hopkinton Fairgrounds in New Hampshire for the race Saturday, Nov. 16.
In 2023, the Regis College women finished in second place for the second straight year, while the Pride men ended up in fourth place for the third straight season.
Regis College sponsors 19 intercollegiate sports, including men's and women's cross country, within NCAA Division III as a member of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference.
