Regis College Revises Spectator Policy for Athletic Events
Policy revision effective Monday, Jan. 10, with further mask guidelines in effect Tuesday, Feb. 1
WESTON, Mass. – Prioritizing the health, safety, and wellbeing of the campus community in light of the rapid spread of the Omricon variant of COVID-19, Regis College has revised the spectator policy for Pride athletic events at Higgins Court and the Regis Pool.
Effective Monday, Jan. 10, 2022, only Regis students, faculty, and staff currently in the university's testing protocol will be allowed as spectators for Pride indoor athletic events. Regis community members will be required to show their current time stamped CoVerified clearance and wear a mask while attending any athletic event.
In addition, beginning Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2022, cloth masks will not be allowed on campus. In line with current University guidelines, only surgical, KN95, or N95 masks should be worn.
Until further notice, no visiting spectators (including parents and families of Regis student-athletes) will be permitted to attend any contest inside the Regis Athletic Center (Higgins Court or the Regis Pool). All basketball, volleyball, and swimming & diving competitions will be live streamed through Regis's StretchLive portal (https://portal.stretchinternet.com/regispride/).
Regis College will review this policy on a regular basis in the hope that conditions will allow for the return of all spectators. Updates will be provided as soon as information is available.
