REGIS CROSS COUNTRY FINISHES SEASON WITH CONTINUED IMPROVEMENT
WESTON, Mass. – The Regis College Club Cross Country Team returned to Larz Anderson Park in Brookline, Mass. this past Sunday for their final race of their season. Runners Owen McQuaid (Marlborough, Mass.) and Jonathan Paul (Medford, Mass.) were looking to take advantage of the good conditions and their additional week of training by dipping under the times they had run a week prior.
McQuaid improved by eight seconds, running 18:23 and finishing in third place. Pushing him all the way to the finish and finishing fourth was his teammate Jonathan Paul who cut a full 20 seconds from the previous week and crossed the line in 18:25.
The men will now transition to track where they will join a distance squad that includes Sarah Schow (Northborough, Mass.) and Jackie Vlahos (Ipswich, Mass.), who sat out cross country with injury. Their first competitions will be in early December where they will look to build upon the progress they have made this fall.
