Megan Albertsen enters her first season as an assistant coach with the Regis women's lacrosse team.
A native of Rockville Centre, N.Y., Albertsen played collegiate lacrosse at UMass Lowell, earning a spot in the starting lineup during her freshman season and remaining there throughout her career. A team captain in both her junior and senior years, she scored her only collegiate goal in the final game of her career at Hartford April 27, 2019. She is fourth on the UMass Lowell all-time list for career caused turnovers with 39, including 22 caused turnovers in 2017. Albertsen was named the team’s rookie of the year in 2016 and defender of the year in 2017.
Albertsen coaches at Revolution Lacrosse, a high school and youth lacrosse club that encourages New England players to develop their lacrosse skills. In 2019, she earned her bachelor’s degree in liberal arts with concentrations in psychology and sociology.
