Regis Men’s Soccer Finalizes 2022 Schedule
2022 REGIS COLLEGE MEN'S SOCCER SCHEDULE
WESTON, Mass. – The Regis College men's soccer program has finalized its 17-match competition schedule for the 2022 season, featuring eight home contests at Regis Stadium.
The Pride open the slate at home Saturday, Sept. 3, against Massachusetts Maritime Academy in a rematch of a thrilling 1-0 Regis victory that started the 2021 campaign. Regis will then head to Minuteman RVT High School in Lexington, Mass., to face Lesley Wednesday, Sept. 7, followed by the GNAC opener at Albertus Magnus Saturday, Sept. 10.
Back on home turf, Regis will take on Westfield State for the first time in program history Wednesday, Sept. 14, followed by three road matches in five days at Norwich Sept. 17, at MIT Sept. 19, and at Dean Sept. 21. In the non-conference match against MIT, the Pride will face an Engineer squad receiving votes in the preseason United Soccer Coaches Top 25 Preseason Poll.
The Pride will return home for a Regis Fest contest against University of Saint Joseph Saturday, Sept. 24 and a match against rival Lasell Wednesday, Sept. 28. After a road contest at Elms Saturday, Oct. 1, Regis welcomes defending GNAC champion Saint Joseph's College to Weston Wednesday, Oct. 5.
After back-to-back road matches at Colby-Sawyer Saturday, Oct. 8, and at Emerson Monday, Oct. 10, the Pride host Rivier Wednesday, Oct. 12, and Emmanuel Saturday, Oct. 15. The regular season wraps up with a contest at Anna Maria Saturday, Oct. 22, and the home finale against Johnson and Wales Tuesday, Oct. 25.
The top eight teams in the final regular season standings will qualify for the GNAC Men's Soccer Tournament, starting with the quarterfinals Saturday, Oct. 29, followed by the semifinals Wednesday, Nov. 2, and the championship match Saturday, Nov. 5.
Regis completed the 2021 season with a 7-8-2 overall record, including a 5-5-2 mark within the GNAC to finish sixth in the standings.
Regis College sponsors 20 intercollegiate sports, including men's soccer, within NCAA Division III as part of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference.
