BERMUDEZ-GLEAN TABBED ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
After immediately making an impact in his first two career games in a Regis College jersey, freshman guard Carlos Bermudez-Glean (Boston, Mass.) was honored by being named the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) men’s basketball Rookie of the Week.
WESTON, Mass. – After immediately making an impact in his first two career games in a Regis College jersey, freshman guard Carlos Bermudez-Glean (Boston, Mass.) was honored by being named the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) men's basketball Rookie of the Week.
Bermudez-Glean scored 11 points, had three assists, and recorded five steals as the Pride fell to St. Joseph's (Brooklyn), 70-59 in the first game of the Regis College Tip-Off Tournament. In the Consolation game, the rookie knocked down 15 points, dished off three assists, grabbed four rebounds, and recorded seven steals as the Pride nearly upset #23 Hartwick, 70-67. After two games this season, Bermudez-Glean is averaging 13 points, three assists, 2.5 rebounds, and six steals.
The Pride will be looking for their first win of the season as they host Tufts University in a non-conference game slated for 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening.
