MEN'S BASKETBALL RELEASES ITS 2010-11 SEASON SCHEDULE
Weston, Mass.---The Regis College mens basketball team released the 2010-11 season schedules this week. The Pride opens the season on the road Monday (Nov. 15) against Lesley College. This game will be a warm up for the Pride as they travel to Williamstown, Massachusetts to play in the Williams College Tip-off Tournament.

The first game of the tournament for the Pride will be against SUNY-Cobleskill. The Pride holds its fate in its hands on Friday. If the Pride wants to play in the Tip-off Championship game they must take care of business on Friday. Winning on Friday will allow the Pride to play the winner of the Williams/Southern Vermont game for a chance to be crowned the Williams College Tip-off Tournament Champions.
Tuesday (Nov. 23) the Pride return to campus to compete in its first home contest of the season. The Pride is set to take on Tufts University, who finished 2-7 in the New England Small College Athletic Conference last season.
The Following week the Bantams from Trinity College travel to the Regis College Gymnasium to play the Pride. These two home contests should be enough to get the Pride ready for the Regis College Invite Tournament, which will be held on December 11 and 12 at Regis College. The tournament will consist of the following visiting schools--Westfield State, Thomas, and Wheaton College.
Regis is set to play Westfield in the first game of the tournament at 1:00 pm. The outcome of the game will determine who plays for the championship on Saturday.
The following weekend the Pride will travel to Salem State to play in the Salem State Invitational Tournament. The first game of the tourney for the Pride is against Salem State. The following day the Pride will take on North Park University, who are traveling from the Midwestern state of Illinois to compete in the tournament.
Next up on the schedule is Western Connecticut University, who travel to Weston, Massachusetts to take on the Pride Wednesday (Jan. 5) at 7:30 pm. This will be the last non-conference regular season game for the Pride as they enter conference play at the end of the week.
The Pride opens up The Commonwealth Coast play Saturday (Jan. 8) against Colby sawyer. Last year the Pride was able to show their presence in TCCC by upsetting Colby Sawyer by the score of 89-69. This game showed the conference that the Pride was ready to contend with the other middle of the pack schools.
Thursday (Jan. 27) the Pride head to Biddeford, Maine to take on the Nor’easter’s from the University of New England. The Pride was defeated by the Nor’easters last season by the score of 81-80. Saturday (Jan. 29) the Pride head back to Weston, Massachusetts for a home contest against Leopards of Wentworth Institute. This contest is one of the last four home games for the Pride to wrap-up the regular season on the road against Anna Maria College Saturday (Feb. 19) at 3:00 pm.
