Bio

Jessica Gould brings a great deal of experience to the Regis College Athletics staff.

Gould came to Regis after a short stint as Program Manager for Boston Sports Clubs (BSC) where she was in charge of running and scheduling a swim program for more than 300 participants in conjunction with all special events and a 13-week summer camp.

Prior to BSC, Gould was the Assistant Vice President of Sports Management for Special Olympics Massachusetts (SOMA). SOMA is a non-profit organization that provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Along with her staff, she was responsible for planning, organizing and executing the training and competition for four state-wide tournaments. The events annually involved as many as 2,800 athletes and coaches competing in 24 sports overall.

Gould has extensive training in event management, having experience with events including the 2001 U.S. Senior Open, BankBoston Ryder Cup Invitational, and the 2003 NCAA Women's Final Four in Atlanta, Georgia. Gould also worked as an event management consultant for an international players association providing consulting and event-management expertise and services for the development, marketing, and logistics of the first annual international men's all-star basketball game.

Gould received her Masters in Education with a concentration in Sport Management from Springfield College where she coached woman's junior varsity basketball and worked as the Sports Information Assistant for the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC).  Gould's earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst where she also minored in African American Studies. Gould was also a two-sport varsity athlete at UMass, playing both field hockey and basketball.

Gould coaches girls varsity basketball at her alma mater, Acton-Boxborough Regional High School and was named Assistant Coach of the Year in 2009 by the Massachusetts Basketball Coaches Association. Also a member of the high school's Athletic Hall of Fame, Gould starred in field hockey, basketball and softball for the Colonials.
