PRIDE TAKE ON BAY PATH IN NECC PLAYOFFS
WESTON, Mass. – The Regis College women's volleyball team has earned the No. 6 seed in the upcoming NECC Tournament and will take on Bay Path College on Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. The Pride (9-18) defeated the Wildcats (13-10), 3-2, back on October 22nd in the two teams' previous meeting.
The Pride is paced by Julie Endara (Boca Raton, Fla.) and Domingas Gomes (Brockton, Mass.), who have posted 165 and 142 kills each, respectively. Vanessa Noesi (Methuen, Mass.) led the defense with an NECC-leading 100 total block while also chipping in with 97 kills. Also helping with the defense has been Sara Gold (North Hollywood, Calif.), who posted a league-high 380 digs this season and also led the Pride with 50 service aces. Setting up the offense for the Pride is junior Megan Pratt (Rockport, Mass.) and sophomore Caitlyn Walsh (Taunton, Mass.). The duo combined to post 477 assists this season.
For Bay Path, Nadine Harkless (Westfield, Mass.) has carried the bulk of the load, posting 257 kills this year while also leading the team in service aces (46), digs (287), total blocks (39) and points (340.5). Setter Ashley Provost (Ludlow, Mass.) leads the team with 480 assists and is second on the team in aces (44) and digs (213).
