ELORA GRANADOS GARNERS CONFERENCE HONOR

Regis College freshman Elora Granados (Chillicothe, Texas) was named to the 2011 New England Collegiate Conference’s All-Conference Honorable Mention Team, it was announced on Monday afternoon. Granados helped lead the Pride to a 5-9 mark this season as well as a 5-5 record in league play and its first bid into the NECC postseason as the number three seed. NECC All-Conference selections were determined by a vote of the conference coaches.

BECKER DOWNS PRIDE IN NECC SEMIFINALS

Becker College defeated Regis College, 5-0, in the Semifinals of the New England Collegiate Conference Women’s Tennis Tournament on Thursday afternoon in Leicester, Mass. The Pride wraps up its fall season at 5-9 overall. Becker advances to host the NECC Championship match on Saturday afternoon against either Bay Path College or Lesley University.

REGIS GRABS FOURTH SEED IN UPCOMING NECC PLAYOFFS

The Regis College tennis team won three of its final four matches to grab the fourth seed in the upcoming NECC playoffs that begin on Wednesday afternoon. The Pride (5-8, 5-5 NECC) will travel to Leicester, Mass. to take on Becker College (14-1, 9-0 NECC) in a 2:00 p.m. match.

MARY ROSE CAMPBELL, JENNIFER BAKER, HIGHLIGHT REGIS ATHLETICS 2011 HALL OF FAME CLASS
The Regis College athletics department is proud to announce that it has selected its 2011 inductees into the Regis College Athletics Hall of Fame. The class includes a pair of former Pride basketball players in Mary Rose Campbell and Jennifer Baker as well as the 1995-96 softball team that captured the regular season Commonwealth Coast Conference Championship. The class was inducted in an on-campus banquet held as a part of the Regis College Homecoming festivities.

PRIDE PAWS THROUGH SNOW TO GET SPRING PRACTICES UNDERWAY
Weston, Mass.—The Regis College Athletic Department has been plagued by a nuisance that is white, cold, and piled all over, or in the Pride’s case not piled. The Pride’s home turf has been covered with snow since December and has been continuously exposed to the heavy snow storms over the past few months.

Weston, Mass.—Everyone loves and remembers sports picture day. Regis fall sport athletes are set to take individual photos Sunday at 2 pm. Men and women’s soccer, field hockey, tennis, and volleyball are set to take headshots, along with new coaches and staff members.

ATHLETICS INKS LOGO DEAL WITH PHOENIX DESIGN WORKS
Weston, Mass.—On July 17 the Regis College Athletics Department completed a two-month process with Phoenix Design Works to re-brand the department with a new logo, proprietary font, and image.
