WOMEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER EMILEE MARRO NAMED TO NEWBA HONOR ROLL
WESTON, Mass.- Regis College women’s basketball freshman, Emilee Marro (Bedford, N.H.) was named to the New England Women’s Basketball Associations Honor Roll, for the week of January 23rd, 2012.
WESTON, Mass.- Regis College women’s basketball freshman, Emilee Marro (Bedford, N.H.) was named to the New England Women’s Basketball Associations Honor Roll, for the week of January 23rd, 2012.
Marro led the Pride to a record of 3-0 on the week with victories over New England Collegiate Conference opponents, Newbury College, Southern Vermont College, and Mitchell College. She tied for a game high of 15 points against the Mountaineers, giving her a week average of 14.0 points per game. Marro contributed on both sides of the ball by grabbing 14 rebounds and dishing out nine assists on the week. Marro was successful from the field knocking down 62.1% (18-29) of her shots and has been instrumental in leading Regis to a 9-0 record in NECC play this year.
So far this season Marro currently is third on the team in points tallying 139 giving her an average of 9.3. Marro will look to continue her streak of strong performances Tuesday, when Regis travels to Waterville, Maine to take on NESCAC member Colby College at 5:30 p.m.
