PRIDE TO PLAY FIRST HOME GAME AGAINST NIGHTHAWKS
Weston, Mass.—The Regis College women’s basketball team is set to take on Newbury College Saturday (Dec. 4) at 1:00 p.m. The Pride enters the contest with a record of 3-2 and has played a strong out of conference schedule early in the season. The Nighthawks enter the contest with a record of 0-5, losing to Albertus Magnus College earlier this week.

Leading the Pride on offense is junior Stephanie Crawford (Rockland, Mass. /Rockland) who is the Pride’s leading scorer this season, tallying 64 points in the first five games. Crawford is also the teams leader in assists, dishing the ball 17 times this season. Freshman Claire Ramonas (Portland, Mane. /Deering) has had a strong start to her first college season. Ramonas has helped power the Pride in rebounds, steals, and points this season.
Leading the Pride on defense is senior Sarah McNult (Hampstead, N.H. /Pinkerton Academy) who has been a force on the boards. McNult leads the team in rebounds per game with 13.2 and has caused opposing teams to turn over the ball 15 times this season.
Leading the Night hawks this season s Shayla White (Dorchester, Mass./Wellesley ) who leads her team in points and assists on the season. On defense, the Nighthawks are lead by Katherine O’Connell (Quincy, Mass. /North Quincy) who is the main force on team rebounds and blocked shots. White is also a strong defensive player leading the team in steals per game.
This contest will be the first home game for the Pride and is set to start at 1:00 p.m.
