WOMEN'S BASKETBALL HOLDS FREE BASKETBALL CLINIC FOR LOCAL GIRLS AT YMCA
WESTON, Mass.—Head coach Julie Plant and the women’s basketball team held a free basketball clinic for girls from Waltham, Watertown, Billerica, Wayland, and Belmont on Sunday. The clinic was hosted at the Waltham YMCA.
WESTON, Mass.—Head coach Julie Plant and the women’s basketball team held a free basketball clinic for girls from Waltham, Watertown, Billerica, Wayland, and Belmont on Sunday. The clinic was hosted at the Waltham YMCA.
Current team members taught different aspects of the game by holding various stations that focused on specific basketball skills. As well, the team held contest to further teach how the participants would use what they were being taught should be used in games.
The 10 women’s team members worked with girls of all ages and skill levels while at the Waltham YMCA.
Regis College will open its 2010-11 regular season at Mount Ida (Nov. 15) at 6:00 p.m. Last season Plant led the Pride to a 20-10 season, which included its first The Commonwealth Coast Conference Championship appearance in more than 10 years, and an Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) quarterfinal showing.
Regis College will open its season against Mount Ida College (Nov. 15) at 6:00 p.m., before its first home game against Newbury College (Dec. 4). The Pride will play in the Babson Tip-Off Tournament (Nov. 20-21), and travel to Daniel Webster (Nov. 17) and Rivier College (Nov. 23) before its home opener.
