Head coach Scott Wright joins the Regis College Pride as the Head men's and women's volleyball coach for the 2012-2013 seasons. Wright spent 2012 as the interim head coach for the Regis men's program and brings over 14 years of coaching and player experience at the high school, club, and collegiate level.
He began his career at Salem High School in Salem, N.H., where during his tenure as a student and as a coach was part of seven undefeated state championships (2005-2011) and winning 147 straight matches. Coach Wright spent five years coaching the NorEast Club Juniors, and as the head coach for the 18's elite, the teams were rewarded eight placing medals.
Coach Wright continued his playing career at Rivier College in Nashua, N.H. where he spent four seasons, including two as captain, and helped the Raiders to a top-10 ranking in the nation from 2005-2009. At Rivier, Scott left the program as an MVP, two-time GNAC 1st team selection, ranked in career and season highs in block and hitting percentage as well as aces per set.
Wright is also an active player in New England and competes in both indoor and outdoor volleyball tournaments at the open level and has competed in the USAV National Volleyball Championships for the past six years at the AA and A level receiving a 3rd place medal in 2010.
